San Jose, Calif. - January 2, 2002 - Carbon Graphics announces the availability, and first public beta release, of
Geo - their new real-time 3-D modeling and articulation tool for Windows® based Personal
Computers.
Geo provides a comprehensive suite of modeling tools for building and editing real-time low-polygon count models and scenes. Additionally, the 1.0 release provides the ability
to dynamically control the articulation and behavior of any model part. This behavior mechanism allows the user to hook-up live application data to the model and dynamically
control its run-time behavior and appearance. This makes Geo ideal for both "smart 3D objects" and dynamic instrumentation. Geo also provides a new
extensible Vis-Sim model exchange format as well as support for existing industry-standard formats.
Carbon Graphics is actively looking for partners to help us refine the final 1.0 product feature list and identify any pre-release bugs.
