PARK CITY, Utah, October 18, 2004 -- Carbon Graphics LLC are pleased to announce the immediate availability of their new Geo VRML™ importer and exporter plugins for Geo - the premiere 3D Modeling & Animation package targeted towards the needs of the Visual Simulation community.

The Geo VRML plugins provide an easy, robust mechanism for importing and exporting files in the VRML 2.0 scene description langauge. This initial version supports static geometry scenes using the Group, Transform, LOD, Switch, Billboard, Shape,  ElevationGrid,Box, Cone, Cylinder, Sphere, IndexedFaceSet, IndexedLineSet, PointSet and Appearance nodes. Future versions will extend support to include events and routes and animation.

Andy Bushnell, Carbon Graphics' President stated: "We are very excited about the addition of these two new plugins for Geo. VRML support now brings the total of 5 real-time Scene Graph file formats that Geo natively supports for both import and export - the others being our native Geo native, OpenFlight™, Designer's Workbench™ and Aecehlon's HIE™ run-time format."  Mr. Bushnell further added: "These additions open up a vast library of existing files that can now be used within Geo and allows Geo to be used for authoring real-time content targeting various complementary markets".
