PARK CITY, Utah, December 1, 2003 -- Carbon Graphics LLC and Aechelon Technology, Inc. today announced several exciting enhancements to the existing Aechelon pC-NOVA™ database format support built-into Carbon Graphic's Geo™ - the new 3D modeling & animation package for the Visual Simulation market.
Geo has natively implemented a State-Machine driven articulation engine & integrated it into the existing Geo Behavior system. The State Machine maps directly onto the capabilities found in the Aechelon Technology Image Generator. Geo now has a WYSIWYG ("What You See Is What You Get") State Machine Editor, State Machine list Browser, Rule Editor, interactive state-machine testing and full support for mapping the behavior between Geo's real-time exchange format and pC-NOVA's runtime format.
Andy Bushnell, Carbon Graphics' President stated: "This enhancement allows Aechelon IG customers to interactively build & test complex model articulation relationships in an intuitive visual environment. Setting up multiple related articulations such as coordinated undercarriage door & wheel movement can now be accomplished in a fraction of the time using traditional methods and tools."
